Aqara Camera G100 - This is a new, solid indoor or outdoor option for Apple HomeKit Secure Video. You need to run continuous USB-C power to the camera though, which might make it tricky outdoors though. Either way Aqara simplified this camera to not include their usual smart home hub functionality. It’s just the camera, which makes for a great deal at $35. I’ve been running the one Aqara sent me in my office for a few weeks and it’s been working great for me.

Smart Home Solver’s Robot Vacuum Trick - Are you tried of your robot vacuum dock dirty water tank smelling like a dirty seaport? Smart Home Solver (Reed) has an interesting hack for this using mouth wash.

Apple’s Public Betas 26 are here - If you’re in the mood to try out the latest and greatest software updates shipping this fall, the public betas are a good time to do so. If you work in designing mobile apps or websites, this year is a must given how Apple is evolving the design.
