Why I'm excited for Thread on iPhone 15 Pro

Apple just announced their iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro and in tiny text on one of the slides was a mention that these new models support Thread, a relatively new wireless standard built with the smart home in mind.

In Apple's press release they state:

"...introduces the first Thread-enabled smartphones, opening up future opportunities for Home app integrations."

In thinking about this after the event, there are really three ideas I had that get me excited about Thread on new iPhones. Check out the video to hear my out on this.
